All pending compliance reviews arising under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 4212 of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act will be administratively closed, but the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs will resume processing Section 503 and VEVRAA complaint investigations as normal, OFCCP announced July 2. The agency’s announcement came in response to the Labor Secretary’s Order 08-2025, which lifted the hold that Acting Labor Secretary Vincent Micone placed on OFCCP enforcement activity earlier this year.

Furthermore, OFCCP will take no further action related to the November 2024 Corporate Scheduling Announcement List and will not require Section 503 and VEVRAA affirmative action program (AAP) certification at this time. According to OFCCP, contractors whose compliance reviews were held in abeyance earlier this year will receive an administrative closure letter. Contractors whose Section 503 or VEVRAA complaint investigations were pending as of January 24 will be notified that the investigation is resuming. The agency also noted that it will begin processing new Section 503 and VEVRAA complaints that were filed during the abeyance.
