Federal law requires most federal executive branch agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), to publish a semi-annual regulatory agenda that contains a list of each regulatory action the agency plans to take during the next 12 months, along with a time estimate as to when the action will be taken

The latest semi-annual regulatory agendas were released on November 20, 2015, and are crammed with employment-related actions, many of which contemplate final rules flowing from President Obamas 2014 “Year of Action” plan emphasizing the use of his Executive authority to achieve his domestic policy priorities.

We anticipate that the agencies will strive hard to meet the deadlines contained in the agenda, before the Obama Administration leaves office at the beginning of 2017.

The complete updated government-wide semi-annual regulatory agendas are available online here.

The memo includes highlights of the regulatory priorities for EEOC and OFCCP, as well as the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Federal Acquisition Regulatory (FAR) Council, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
