The U.S. House of Representatives has approved legislation that would require employers to offer reasonable accommodations to pregnancy-related limitations, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship. The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (H.R. 2694) passed the House last week on an overwhelming bipartisan vote and now heads to the U.S. Senate where prospects for quick action are far less certain.
