The Trump Administration has quietly installed a new Director of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. While there is no official word yet from the Department of Labor, Ashley Romanias has taken the helm at OFCCP, a key appointment that does not require confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms. Romanias began working as a senior policy advisor at the Department of Labor in July before moving to the OFCCP Director position earlier this week. Previously, she practiced law with several management-side law firms and worked on executive compensation matters for the Federal Housing Finance Agency. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Ms. Romanias takes over at OFCCP after the departure of Catherine Eschbach, who has joined the EEOC as principal deputy general counsel.
