The Center for Workplace Compliance, our affiliated nonprofit membership association, has updated a resource to help CWC members understand the equal employment opportunity and affirmative action obligations that New Jersey imposes on its state contractors.

The New Jersey Treasury Department’s Division of Public Contracts Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance administers New Jersey’s contract compliance program. The division has published guidance, required forms, and templates for contractors submitting affirmative action information.

CWC’s Guide to New Jersey State Contractor Affirmative Action Requirements will help CWC members comply with these requirements.

Many states and localities require companies seeking to do business with the jurisdiction to either maintain or submit an affirmative action program. Since President Trump rescinded Executive Order 11246, many federal contractors have asked whether these state and local affirmative action requirements remain intact or whether modifications will be needed. The answer varies by jurisdiction. Therefore, CWC will update many of the state and local resource guides that we released over the years to ensure that our members have access to updated compliance resources.
