Most companies use online recruiting and job application systems.  According to a survey commissioned by the Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), however, nearly one out of two (46%) individuals with disabilities report their last experience applying for a job online as “difficult to impossible.”

In response, ODEP has created a free online tool called “TalentWorks” that seeks to help employers navigate accessibility issues that arise in online recruiting and application processes by using informational pages with links to videos, reports, infographics, and “tip sheets” that provide more detail.

The TalentWorks website can be accessed here.  A copy of ODEP’s press release announcing the new initiative is available here.
