More than 190 company representatives attended the Equal Employment Advisory Council’s (EEAC) 2017 Annual Meeting and Policy Conference in Washington, D.C.  The conference was facilitated by NT Lakis attorneys and non-attorney professionals.

In addition to hands-on sessions led by NT Lakis experts, this year’s annual meeting featured presentations by two new leaders at agencies with workplace compliance responsibilities:  EEOC Acting Chair Victoria Lipnic and NLRB Acting Chair Philip Miscimarra.  Other guest speakers included Fred Liu, Supreme Court practitioner, Alex Passantino, former Acting Wage and Hour Administrator, Theresa Cardinal Brown, Director of Immigration Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center, Beck Bailey, Deputy Director of Employee Engagement with the Human Rights Campaign, Jocelyn Frye, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, and Thomas Saenz, President and General Counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

As always, the meeting also featured various opportunities for EEAC members to engage in both structured and non-structured peer-to-peer networking and benchmarking, all within a members-only practitioner-centric setting.
