Recent actions by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Labor Department indicate that the Trump administration is maintaining its focus on employment practices that it perceives as disadvantaging American workers.

EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas has used social media and video messages to encourage workers to report alleged anti-American discrimination, while the agency’s redesigned homepage prominently features related resources. Meanwhile, the DOL Office of Inspector General has highlighted foreign labor fraud investigations, visa program enforcement, and efforts to protect American workers and employment-based visa programs.

These actions reflect a consistent message that anti-American discrimination, foreign labor fraud, visa program abuse, and worker exploitation remain enforcement priorities. Recent EEOC and DOL messaging has repeatedly encouraged workers and the public to report potential violations, suggesting that agencies are seeking to generate complaints, tips, and investigative leads.

Organizations should remind their managers to base employment decisions on legitimate business considerations and not to favor or disadvantage workers based on their national origin.
