The Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has ended its longstanding practice of mailing so-called advance notice letters, formally known as “corporate scheduling announcement letters” (CSALs), advising federal contractor establishments that they have been flagged for an upcoming compliance audit. Instead, OFCCP will now publish the next CSAL list online, expected around mid-to-late March, and contractors will need to check OFCCP’s website to determine whether one or more of their establishments have been targeted for an audit.

OFCCP has since confirmed that the online CSAL list will include not only standard compliance reviews and focused reviews, but also those establishments flagged for a “compliance check,” a compliance tool that OFCCP has not employed for over a decade.

Federal contractors can also sign up for OFCCP’s email update service, which will alert them when the CSAL list and other compliance assistance resources are published.
