President Trump nominated Brittany Bull Panuccio on May 6 to fill one of the three open seats on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Her confirmation would give the EEOC a quorum, which will allow it to move forward with the Trump Administration’s policy priorities.

The EEOC has lacked a quorum — and therefore has been unable to adopt or rescind major policy guidance — since President Trump fired two Commissioners in January.

Ms. Panuccio is currently an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Florida. During the first Trump Administration, she worked as a special counselor for the Department of Education. Previously, she served as a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the Fifth Circuit. She has a law degree and an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. If the Senate confirms her, Ms. Panuccio will serve a term ending July 1, 2029.
