President Trump has signed into law legislation (H.R. 6157) providing funding for the Department of Labor (DOL) and related agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), for fiscal year (FY) 2019, which began on October 1 and runs through September 30 of next year. And despite requests by the Administration for significant cuts to the budgets of both the NLRB and DOL’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Congress ended up flat-funding both agencies at last year’s levels.

In the meantime, Congress has not reached final agreement on the FY 2019 spending bill that funds the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Instead, legislators approved, and the President signed, a temporary measure that funds the EEOC at last year’s levels through December 7, 2018.
