United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), announced recently that new federal contractors and subcontractors with contract clauses requiring the employer to use E-Verify to verify the employment eligibility of new hires will now be required to provide the company’s Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number when they enroll. Until now, providing a DUNS number to USCIS has been optional.
