The 2025 filing season for the annual VETS-4212 report opens August 1, the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS) has announced. The submission deadline is September 30.

Any contractor that held one or more contracts or subcontracts with the federal government in 2024 valued at $150,000 or more must submit a VETS-4212 report.

Completing the VETS-4212 report requires a snapshot profile of a company’s workforce by location, protected veteran status, and job category. Covered contractors also must report the number of their protected veteran hires during the preceding 12-month period.

DOL-VETS encourages covered contractors to file their reports online. More information is available on the VETS-4212 Federal Contractor Reporting webpage. Members of CWC, our affiliated nonprofit membership association, can also consult CWC’s Guide To Filing Annual VETS-4212 Report.
