The Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has launched a “landing page” dedicated to the agency’s upcoming focused reviews of federal contractors’ compliance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 503). Section 503 prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities and requires covered federal contractors to develop affirmative action programs designed to promote equal opportunity in the workplace.
OFCCP committed to publishing focused review compliance assistance materials in advance of posting online its so-called “CSAL” list naming federal contractors that have been targeted for an upcoming compliance evaluation. With the landing page now in place, OFCCP is expected to post the audit list before the end of the month. Included on the list will be establishments that have been selected for a focused review. Contractors flagged for a focused review will receive a new Section 503 Focused Review Scheduling Letter.
OFCCP’s focused review landing page links to a number of helpful materials, including answers to some frequently asked questions, best practices, a disability inclusion video, and other compliance assistance materials.
