The California legislature has wrapped up its 2019 session with a flurry of activity that includes numerous bills amending the state’s labor and employment laws, some in very significant ways. California has been a pacesetter for many years in expanding employment law protections, and this year was no exception.

Because other states will often follow California’s lead with respect to their own employment laws, we NT Lakis lawyers have prepared a brief summary of the major labor and employment policy bills enacted by the legislature and signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom.
