The Center for Workplace Compliance, our affiliated nonprofit membership association, has prepared a resource explaining the affirmative action requirements for city contractors of San Diego, California.

The city’s Equal Opportunity Contracting office monitors contractors’ compliance with anti-discrimination laws. CWC’s Guide To  San Diego, CA Affirmative Action Program Requirements will help CWC members understand and comply with these requirements.

What It Means

Many states and localities require companies seeking to do business with the jurisdiction to either maintain or submit an affirmative action or equal employment opportunity program. Following the rescission of Executive Order 11246, many federal contractors have asked whether such state and local affirmative action requirements remain intact or whether AAP modifications will be needed.

The answer varies by jurisdiction. CWC will publish additional state and local resource guides to ensure that our members have access to updated compliance resources.

What You Should Do

CWC member organizations subject to San Diego’s affirmative action requirements should consult CWC’s resource as they work to comply with the city’s standards.
