Hopefully settling some of the confusion generated by the new Presidential Executive Order prohibiting federal contractors and subcontractors from conducting workplace training programs that include race or sex “stereotyping or scapegoating,” the Labor Department’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has published a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) clarifying that training “designed to inform workers, or foster discussion, about pre-conceptions, opinions, or stereotypes that people — regardless of their race or sex — may have regarding people who are different,” would not in fact violate the Executive Order (E.O.).
