The Center for Workplace Compliance, our affiliated nonprofit membership association, submitted comments July 19 on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s draft Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2026–2030. CWC’s comments generally praised the draft as an improvement over prior plans — citing its streamlined structure, focus on quality investigations and conciliations, attention to the charge intake process, and more appropriate systemic enforcement metrics.
CWC also urged the EEOC to strengthen the Plan by measuring mediation effectiveness, expanding charge-intake metrics, resuming public reporting on charge-processing times, and reinstating a timeliness goal for resolving discrimination charges. CWC recommended that the Commission continue monitoring field-office quality-review results and assess whether the new $1 million systemic-relief benchmark creates unintended consequences.
CWC’s comments emphasize that EEOC’s performance measures should promote timely charge resolution, effective mediation, transparent reporting, and consistent quality across field offices. CWC will discuss these and other EEOC developments at our in-person Member Roundtable and virtual Workplace Compliance Conference.
