As we approach the end of President Trump’s first year in office, we thought this would be a good time to provide an update on the status of nominations for key Administration positions with responsibility for regulating the workplace.

Even a year into the new Administration, however, there still are a number of key appointive positions that are unfilled at the Department of Labor (DOL), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and other agencies responsible for workplace policy and enforcement. Although President Trump has nominated individuals for many of these positions, the majority of them require confirmation by the U.S. Senate, a process that has proven to be time consuming and arduous.

Included with this update is a chart that we prepared that summarizes the status of nominees for each position discussed.
