Amid some speculation that the Trump Administration was considering overturning or significantly limiting Executive Order (E.O.) 13672 barring federal contractors from discriminating in the workplace on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, the White House this week announced instead that the E.O. “will remain intact,” and will be enforced.

And although the announcement does not say so explicitly, it also implies that the Trump Administration has no plans to revoke E.O. 11246, which prohibits federal contractors from engaging in workplace discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, and national origin, and requires most larger federal contractors to engage in affirmative action for women and minorities.

A copy of the White House announcement regarding enforcement of E.O. 13672 is available here.
